JDS Development Group just filed a dry run demolition permit at the highly anticipated Brickell site, where plans for the 90-story supertall condo hotel, 888 Brickell by Dolce&Gabbana. Although this is just a preliminary step, it marks significant progress in the development process.

The filed permit indicates there is currently no contractor attached to the project. However, a permit expediter has been listed as the contact, facilitating the process. Alongside this, there is also a separate permit pending to install a fence around the property, ensuring the site’s security and preparation for future construction activities.

Back in April, JDS Development Group completed the purchase of the property for an impressive $61.2 million. This acquisition has paved the way for a remarkable collaboration with renowned fashion house Dolce&Gabbana. Together, they plan to bring to life a 90-story condo hotel that promises to redefine luxury living in Miami.

Standing at a staggering 1,049 feet, this new building is set to become the tallest in Miami. Esteemed architect Studio Sofield is at the helm of this ambitious project, ensuring a design that combines elegance, innovation, and functionality. The tower will boast 250 rooms and suites, offering unparalleled views and world-class amenities.

The collaboration between JDS Development Group and Dolce&Gabbana, along with the architectural prowess of Studio Sofield, promises to create a new landmark in Miami’s skyline. This 90-story supertall condo hotel is not just a building; it’s a statement of luxury, sophistication, and modern living.

Miami’s skyline is set to reach new heights with the recent announcement from Dolce&Gabbana and developer JDS. Yesterday, the duo unveiled exciting new details and stunning renderings of their ambitious project: a 90-story supertall condo hotel located at 888 Brickell. This architectural marvel promises to redefine luxury living and hospitality in the heart of Miami.

Standing tall at an impressive 1,049 feet, 888 Brickell is poised to become the crown jewel of Miami’s skyline. The developer proudly announced that it will be the tallest building in the city, boasting a distinctive design characterized by ivory travertine and matt black steel beams. Adding a touch of opulence, a gold beaded ‘necklace’ will adorn the street-level facade, creating a captivating visual spectacle.

Behind the architectural brilliance of 888 Brickell is Studio Sofield, the esteemed architect responsible for bringing this vision to life. With a reputation for crafting iconic spaces, Studio Sofield ensures that every aspect of this project exudes sophistication and elegance.

Venturing inside, residents and guests will be greeted by a Grand Lobby that sets the tone for the unparalleled luxury that awaits within. Boasting two bars and six food and beverage outlets, including a signature restaurant on the ground floor and a chic Pool Club restaurant & bar, every culinary desire is catered to within the confines of this exquisite tower.

The residential lobby is no less impressive, featuring black marble accents and three grand custom-designed Venetian hand-made chandeliers that command attention and admiration.

At the heart of 888 Brickell is the condo hotel, offering 250 meticulously designed rooms and suites. What sets this development apart is the flexibility it affords residents. Buyers of residential units will have the option to participate in a hotel rental program, allowing them to earn income from their investment. Moreover, larger units with multiple bedrooms can be seamlessly converted into smaller rooms with separate entries, offering unparalleled flexibility and convenience.

In a testament to the fusion of fashion and design, Dolce&Gabbana have collaborated with M2Atelier studio to bring their visionary concepts to life within the interior spaces of 888 Brickell. Drawing inspiration from the iconic fashion house, the interior design reflects the timeless elegance and sophistication synonymous with the Dolce&Gabbana brand.

While a construction date for this ambitious project has not yet been announced, progress is evident as a sales office is currently under construction, signaling the momentum behind this landmark development. As 888 Brickell continues to navigate through the planning process, anticipation builds for the moment when this architectural masterpiece becomes a reality, leaving an indelible mark on Miami’s skyline and redefining luxury living for generations to come.

Dolce & Gabbana debuts its first real estate project in Miami at 888 Brickell Avenue in Downtown Miami. Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana ‘selected’ the condominiums, which come in several marble selections and colors.

Michael Stern, CEO and founder of the developer JDS Development Group stated that the involvement of the fashion house in residents’ daily lives will go beyond the structure of the one- to four-bedroom condos and/or the building’s opulent amenities. Instead, each of the 259 homes will have a full “curation” of everything inside.

The three color schemes include: white with Bianco Striata Marble, black with Nero Marquina Marble, and gold with Giallo Imperiale Marble.

According to Stern, the homes include “very elaborate marbles, amazing light fixtures… and an incredibly luxurious palette.” People have a lot of freedom to make from the options for their units.

The building was designed by Studio Sofield, the same company that also worked on notable projects like New York’s rail-thin Steinway Tower, and depictions show opulent details like Venetian chandeliers and freestanding bathtubs in front of expansive ocean views.

The company’s CEO, Alfonso Dolce, indicated that the ultimate objective is to become “ambassadors of ‘Made in Italy’ in the world” and to expand “the perimeter of the company’s activities with a view to an all-round lifestyle experience.”

The amenities that are often found in high-end buildings, such as restaurants, bars, fitness centers, shared offices, and conference rooms, will be available to 888 Brickell residents. Additionally, there is a 4,000-square-foot pool deck with a 44-foot pool and views of Miami Beach, Biscayne Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean.

The most luxurious condos will cost more than $35 million, with prices starting at about $3.5 million.

Dolce&Gabbana is not the only luxury brand investing in Florida in this way. Bentley and Porsche, two Volkswagen Group-owned car companies, have also built towers along the state’s coastline, while Armani provides residents with access to a private beach from its skyscraper.

Meanwhile, the number of fashion industry leaders opening branded hotels throughout the world has increased recently. Examples include Bulgari, Versace, and Roberto Cavalli. They do this by drawing on their well-established aesthetics and identifiable designer brands.
