Avisail Garcia, an outfielder with the Miami Marlins, just paid $9.06 million for a mansion in a prestigious Snapper Creek Lakes neighborhood in Coral Gables, Florida.

The 1.1-acre property was purchased by the baseball player from Venezuela, known as Uncle Avi, 31, and his wife, Anakarina Garcia, at the end of March. The deal was made two years after Mr. Garcia committed to the Miami Marlins for a four-year, $53 million contract.

The two-story house is sited on a corner lot and was originally listed in July 2022 for $10.495 million. Public records show that it was last sold in 2021 for $7.35 million.

The home’s total square footage, including terraces, outdoor spaces, and basement levels, is 11,476. Additionally, the listing describes it as “a strong bunker” with a poured-concrete roof and hurricane-resistant windows.

The 3-car garage is located at the home’s entry, which is surrounded by a large iron security gate. French doors across the rear of the house lead into a columned terrace with a pool and spa, which is also visible from the row of balconies on the second story. The house is built for indoor-outdoor living. The grill and a fire sprinkler system are additional outside elements.

The residence’s top rooms, including the private principal suite in a separate wing, are accessed through a grand staircase. The mezzanine gives the architectural drama and depth.

The home contains a formal dining room, a cinema room, a breakfast area, and a chef’s kitchen with a big island in addition to seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Mr. Garcia played for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, and Milwaukee Brewers before making his main league debut in 2012. The Garcias, who are parents of two small kids, were married in 2013.

Baseball Hall of Famer and Miami Marlins CEO, Derek Jeter may have purchased a waterfront lot in Coral Gables, Florida.

According to a recent article published by the Florida Business Journal, a Detroit P.O. Box that Jeter has used in the past, was listed on the deed that purchased a 1.91 acre vacant lot at 625 Leucadendra Drive for $16.6 million.

The lot features 325 feet of waterfront with a dock and was last purchased at $13.95 million. According to the MLS, the property has the ability to build a 20,000 square foot residential home.

The P.O. Box that was used in the purchase was the same as the one that was listed when Jeter sold his mansion in Tampa in 2020. Jeter sold the 1.2 acre property at 59 Bahama Circle for a cool $29 million; which featured 22,000 square feet of living space, 7 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, 6 car garage, and pool with spa.

Jeter moved to South Florida after purchasing the Marlins in 2017 for $1.2 billion. Jeter currently resides at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Miami Beach.

Calling Giancarlo Stanton the legitimate home run king may be premature, but there’s no reason for him not to plan ahead; after all, they say every king must have his castle. In May, it was reported that Stanton contracted to purchase a 7,800 square foot, tri-level penthouse at Aria on the Bay – a 53-story, luxury condo development located in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Earlier today, Stanton toured the building, stopping briefly for a photo with Aria on the Bay’s sales and development team. The photo was taken on the rooftop of his nearly completely penthouse, which will come equipped with an outdoor pool and summer kitchen.

Aria on the Bay is slated to be delivered early next year. Scroll down for a digital rendering of Stanton’s outdoor terrace.

Is A-Rod Signing With the Miami Marlins, Replacing Giancarlo Stanton?

Will A-Rod be the star attraction at Marlins Park in the near future? Rumors are running rampant that famed and notorious baseball slugger Alexander Rodriguez is about to sign with the Miami Marlins, after ESPN commentator and sports analyst JIm Bowden announced the intel on his Sirius XM radio show, and the MIami New Times picked it up.

“They’re going to sign him once he clears waivers on Monday,” said Bowden “This thing is gonna happen, so prepare yourself. It’s going to cost me personally because I made a lot of bets saying that nobody would sign Alex Rodriguez, that his career was done and that it should be.”

According to A-Rod’s people, however, the Marlins deal is definitely a no-go though. His manager Ron Berkowitz tweeted “It’s not happening.” Maybe an adamant ‘no’ or just a denial until it’s official? Or A-Rod could be waiting until next season.

Conclusion: It’s still a mystery.
