A hotel in Miami Beach made the list of the 100 Best Hotels in the World just published by Travel & Leisure. Nobu Hotel Miami Beach, which came in at number 81 on the list and is styled to resemble a Japanese beach house, was hailed for its comforts.
According to the Travel + Leisure article, “The list of world-class amenities at this David Rockwell-designed beachfront hotel is impressively long: exceptional epicurean delights, a beautiful 22,000-square-foot spa, three pools, a private marina, and luxurious penthouse-level villas.”
Nobu also made the Best 15 Resorts in the Continental US coming in at #8. Faena Miami Beach also made this list at #14. These two resorts also topped the list for the 15 Best Resort in Greater Miami, followed by Ritz-Carlton South Beach, the Four Season Hotel at the Surf Club, The Setai, and the Standard Spa.
The rankings are weighed by consumer opinions and travel experiences, which are rated by the location, services provided, food services, facilities, and value.
According to Nobu’s website, Nobu Hotels create the idea of a lifestyle hotel by fusing contemporary cool luxury with modest Japanese culture. Together, Nobu Hotels, Restaurants, and Residences offer goods and services that are representative of the distinctive culinary experiences offered at Nobu.
Each offers a distinctively local experience in a space with a cutting-edge design. The Nobu Hotel idea is a tailored experience with each hotel being unique, under the direction of Nobu Matsuhisa, a well-known chef, Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper.

Cindy Crawford & Rande Gerber Buys Waterfront Condo at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach
We’ve confirmed with multiple sources that Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber recently purchased a luxury waterfront residence at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach. The ultra-luxe, ultra-exclusive waterfront development is centrally located in Miami Beach at 4701 North Meridian Avenue, just minutes from the art-centric Faena District and, more importantly, within blocks of 4404 North Bay Road, the address of the waterfront home the celebrity couple purchased this past December for $9.625M. Crawford and Gerber plan to tear down the house currently residing there and build anew atop the 17,000-square-foot lot featuring over 100 feet of water frontage and wide-open bay views. By living so close to their North Bay Road address, the duo will be able to keep a close eye on construction. (After all, we all know that everything runs behind schedule in Miami!)
Two-bedroom condos at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach range from 1,879 to 3,207 interior square feet plus terrace. The residences feature private elevator foyers, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a Boffi-designed kitchen with Gaggenau appliances, and a jetted soaking tub in the master bath.
Other notables who have purchased property at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach include MLB Hall of Fame catcher Mike Piazza; CEO of American Eagle Outfitters, Jay Schottenstein; and former Miss Germany Petra Levin.

The Liaigre-Designed 3-Bedroom Condo at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach – Asking $5.61M
Some properties sell themselves. LPH-20 at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach is one such property. The Liaigre-designed, 3-bedroom condo is an absolute jaw-dropper. From the moment you walk into the residence, you’re welcomed to sweeping views of Biscayne Bay and the Downtown Miami skyline. The great thing about The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach is that it is surrounded by single-family homes, so the views from it are completely unobstructed from higher floors. Current zoning laws in that neighborhood prohibit structures from being built as high as The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach, but the developer, Lionheart Capital, developed the property from an existing 1,000,000-square-foot hospital that had been grandfathered in. Had the developer demolished the hospital and started anew, the new structure would have been required to abide by current zoning regulations. The end result…a condominium development boasting some of the most amazing, 360-degree views of the bay, city, and ocean.
Lower Penthouse 20 at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach is a sprawling 3-bedroom residence with 3.5 bathrooms, a family room, 3,431 interior square feet, and 420 square feet of terrace space (see LPH-20 floor plan). It features a Piero Lissoni-designed Boffi kitchen with Gaggenau appliances, stone countertops, and a gas cooktop as well as a Piero Lissoni-designed master bathroom with stone floors and walls, a jetted soaking tub, Zucchetti fixtures, an over-sized glass-enclosed shower with a rainfall showerhead, and His and Hers vanities. And those unfamiliar with Liaigre furnishings, they’re nothing short of spectacular. Founder, Christian Liaigre, an iconic French interior and furniture designer who passed away this past September, is renowned for his minimalist design and emblematic use of wood and leather.
As mentioned in a previous post, I truly feel that The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach is Miami Beach’s best-kept secret. The 7.5-acre site houses some of the best amenities and services that can be found in a South Florida residential development. But don’t take my word for it. I urge you to check it out for yourself. If you or anyone you know has an interest in touring LPH-20 and/or other options at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach, contact me (Lucas Lechuga) at [email protected]. I may also be contacted by phone at 786-247-6332.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach – Miami Beach’s Best-kept Secret
The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach
After visiting The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach several times over the past ten months, I can honestly say that I’m absolutely in love with the building and property. In fact, coupled with the iconic service one comes to expect from The Ritz-Carlton brand, The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach sells itself! The floor plans are very spacious and well-thought-out, the finishes (which were designed by the late Piero Lissoni) are refined and sumptuous, and the views are truly breathtaking. But perhaps the best thing about The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach is its location; it is centrally located in Miami Beach at 4701 North Meridian Avenue. Its location allows residents of the building to be close to the action but not right smack in the middle of it. Over the years, living in the heart of Miami Beach (in South Beach on Ocean Drive or Collins Avenue) has lost its appeal; it is no longer the tranquil place to live it once was. On the other hand, living at the Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach is as serene as living in a waterfront house on North Bay Road.
Some of you may be thinking, “That’s great and all, but I wouldn’t want to live in a building that has a hotel component to it”. Well, that’s the beauty of The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach; it is only 1 of 12 standalone Ritz-Carlton properties in the world without a hotel component. Residents of The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach enjoy the same Ritz-Carlton service enjoyed by guests of its hotels around the world but without sacrificing any peace or privacy.
Despite being a boutique residential development with only 110 condominium residences and 15 two-story villas, The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach offers a laundry list of amenities one would expect from a development three times its size, including a private captained day yacht; a house chef; a house car; beach club memberships at Nobu Eden Roc Resort; a pet grooming room; a private theater; a rooftop pool deck with an infinity-edge pool, poolside cabanas, and poolside grille; an on-site spa with steam rooms, sauna, and treatment suite; an art studio; a kids room; and more. Below, you’ll find a full list of the amenities and services provided by The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach:
With prices ranging from $1.8M to $14M, The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach offers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom residences ranging in size from 1,969 to 5,936 interior square feet.
I’ve included below a full photo tour of the amenities and common area spaces at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach. As beautiful as the property looks in the photos, I promise that you’d be even more blown away when seeing it in person. If you or anyone you know has an interest in touring The Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach, please contact me (Lucas Lechuga) at [email protected]. I may also be contacted by phone at 786-247-6332.

Live the Luxury Loft Life: Inside The Ritz Carlton Residences Miami Beach’s Loft Residences
One of the most ambitious redevelopment projects I have seen is preparing to open in a few months, The Ritz Carlton Residences Miami Beach. For those who aren’t familiar, the project is a redevelopment of the Miami Heart Institute, which was shuttered in 2004 after it was purchased by Mt. Sinai.
For years, nobody knew what would become of this eyesore on a great waterfront lot. Due to building regulations, the structure could not be torn down and rebuilt at the same size. In order to keep the height and size of the structure, all they could do is redevelop the existing structure. It took until 2012 when Lionheart Capital stepped in to propose a new Ritz Carlton designed by famed Italian architect, Piero Lissoni. Why not, right?
Well, here we are in 2017, the project is getting ready to open within the next few months, and 70% of the 126 residences have been spoken for. There are still 4 remaining loft residences with double height ceilings and increased feeling of privacy, let’s have a look at these plans…
This plan is a corner apartment that has southern exposure with a private plunge pool and summer kitchen. One of my favorite aspects of this plan is the bedroom and den upstairs, making it a great guest suite.
This is the last remaining loft with a direct view of Lake Surprise. It also has a private elevator and all of the bedrooms are upstairs, leaving the downstairs perfect for entertaining.
Another of the lofts with southern exposure, Loft 218 also has the plunge pool and summer kitchen on the terrace and guest quarters upstairs.
Loft 217
4 Bedroom | 4.5 Bath
4,033 square feet
$3,065,000
This is the last available four bedroom option, although the fourth bedroom could also be converted into a study. It also has a junior master suite upstairs and extra space on the terrace.
The Ritz Carlton Residences Miami Beach Are Winning Art Basel With Their #RitzRainbow
Lionheart Capital has commissioned the art display to trump all art displays of this year’s Art Basel festival. They have commissioned Yvette Mattern’s ‘Global Rainbow’ to shine over Miami during Art Basel week, visible for 25 miles around and sharing the message of positivity with the beauty of light… something we are all hungry for after a politically heated year on all fronts.
The large-scale, laser light beam installation originates from Lionheart Capital’s headquarters in Miami’s Design District. This gift to the city of Miami celebrates art and the human spirit. Personally, I feel it is extremely called-for at this moment and a welcome beacon for peace. Private boat tours are departing via Von Dutch boats on the hour to view the installation as well as the construction progress of The Ritz Carlton Residences Miami Beach, although you don’t need to be on a Von Dutch boat in the bay to enjoy it.
To celebrate, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach and Lionheart Capital have teamed up to host a special giveaway. To be entered for a chance to win, share your original photo of The Global Rainbow to Instagram using the hashtag #RitzRainbow. On Monday, December 5th, one photo using the hashtag #RitzRainbow will be chosen as the winner of the grand prize. The winner will be contacted via direct message shortly thereafter with prize redemption details. No word yet on what that grand prize is, but we expect it will be quite nice… as anything with the Ritz Carlton name is.
Located in one of the most desirable residential neighborhoods in Mid-Beach, The Ritz-Carlton Residences consists of 111 condominium residences and a limited collection of 15 standalone Villa Residences. The tropical modern luxury development, which is over 60 percent sold, is priced from $2 million to more than $40 million and slated for a timely completion Q2 of 2017.
Ritz Carlton Residences Miami Beach Drops New Renderings of Its Lobby & Where That Staircase Goes
The Ritz Carlton Residences Miami Beach, designed by Piero Lissoni, has dropped a series of new renderings of its lobby and library to accompany the already released money shot with that fabulously suspended staircase. (see the last image, below) “Its library will be comprised of collectibles, artifacts, modern design pieces, art and design books, and a canoe artifact paying tribute to Seminole Tribe of Florida.” says Curbed Miami. The renderings look gorgeous, and the canoe is admittedly very cool. It’s a beautiful piece of (authentic?) Native American craftsmanship on display, but a tribute? Well, first maybe someone can explain why there are two of them in the renderings..
The development’s 111 condos and 15 villas make up one of Miami’s most unique and interesting projects, although at times it’s probably a rather tough sell. (it was an old hospital, after all) The Ritz Carlton Residences Miami Beach is currently about 65% sold out.
