Alex Rodriguez Looks to Flip 3 Bedroom Condo in Miami Beach
After flipping his waterfront spec home in Miami Beach for a $15M profit earlier this year, Alex Rodriguez is back at it again. This time, according to Celebuzz, A-Rod is looking to flip a Miami Beach condo he purchased this past June for $2.1M. Since that time, the property has undergone a complete renovation, with interior design and finishes completed by world renowned designer Briggs Edward Solomon. Rodriguez now has it listed for $3.2M. Residing on the southeast corner of a boutique luxury building called Mei – located at 5875 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach – the 3 bedroom luxury condo in Miami Beach has a wrap-around balcony and offers incredible views of the sand and ocean.
Alex Rodriguez is currently fighting a 211-game suspension from Major League Baseball. The arbitrator, Fredric Horowitz, is expected to render a decision next month. If unsuccessful in over-turning his suspension, don’t be surprised if we see more from “A-Rod the real estate flipper” in the coming year.

Shane Battier Lists Coconut Grove Home for $1,895,000
Just weeks after winning his second NBA Championship, Miami Heat Forward Shane Battier has listed his Coconut Grove home for $1,895,000, according to hothothoops.com. Battier purchased the five bedroom, Mediterranean-style home for $1.6M a little over a year ago in June 2012. The 4,300 square residence is situated on an 8,000 square foot lot and features a 2-car garage, covered patio with adjacent pool, formal dining room, gourmet kitchen with walk-in pantry, downstairs office and master bedroom with his and her walk-in closets.
Battier’s contract with the Miami Heat is set to expire at the end of next season but rumor has it that he is upgrading to a luxury home in Miami.

Drake Puts Two Condos at Marquis Under Contract
Inside sources recently revealed to me that 23-year old hip-hop/rap artist Drake has placed two side-by-side condos at Marquis under contract. My guess is that he will combine the two units to create a mega-condo. Marquis is a luxury condo building located at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. Ever since prices were slashed this past summer, sales have picked considerably at Marquis. Prices start at $263 per square foot. A few months ago, an 8,042 square foot penthouse at Marquis sold for $4.2M.
Yesterday, the Miami Herald reported that Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat recently purchased a 7 bedroom/8 bath waterfront home on North Bay Road for $12.5M. Chris Bosh, along with LeBron James, joined the Miami Heat this past summer through free agency. Since that time, both basketball stars have been busy house hunting and it appears that Bosh has decided to acquire the 12,000 square foot home located at 6396 North Bay Road in Miami Beach. The waterfront home was built in 2009 and comes equipped with a gourmet kitchen, gym, elevator, Infinity-edge pool, boat dock and covered summer kitchen and BBQ area. The Miami Luxury Homes market is getting hot!
LeBron James Makes Offer on Multi-Million Dollar Waterfront Home in Coral Gables
He may be in the market for a waterfront home in Miami but we still have LeBron’s penthouse across the street from the American Airlines Arena waiting for him. It would make for a nice party pad or for nights when he’s too tired to make the drive home.
