North Miami Beach is a historic community in northeastern Miami-Dade County whose origins date back to the 1920s during South Florida’s land boom. The area was originally known as Fulford-by-the-Sea, a planned development created by investor Captain Harvey E. Baker that featured Mediterranean-style architecture and ambitious plans for luxury hotels and homes. The community was officially incorporated as the City of Fulford in 1926, and in 1931 the municipality was renamed North Miami Beach, to better promote the area and attract residents and visitors. Over the following decades, the city developed into a diverse suburban community known for its parks, waterways, and convenient location between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Celebrities Associated with the Area
While North Miami Beach is primarily a residential community rather than a traditional celebrity enclave, the surrounding northeastern Miami-Dade area has attracted notable residents over the years because of its waterfront properties and proximity to Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, and Sunny Isles Beach. However, compared with nearby celebrity hotspots such as Miami Beach or Fisher Island, documented long-term celebrity residents specifically within North Miami Beach are relatively limited.
