What ever you do do not buy a condo at Marina Blue. The management of the building treats the residents like if they were criminals. We purchased a one bedroom apartment about two weeks ago, and today 6/20/08 my wife and two kids were going around taking pictures. My son entered the gym and all the sudden a staff member came up to him and started to kick him out. They called security and wanted to escort my wife out of the building. This building is not child friendly. Please be aware of this situation. They might tell at the time of purchase that kids are not allowed in the gym with out no supervision, but that is not the case. Instead they prefer that you have no kids whatsoever. Well I warn anybody that is purchsaing or looking to purchase at “MARINA BLUE” that if you have kids they are going to make your life a living hell.
PS
anybody wants to buy a condo oh yeah no kids are permitted in the building. maybe if they are visiting.

Hi Lazaro Alonso,
This is also for those who are petrified of their building management and staff,
Can you guys be a little more stand up for your rights please? If this happened to me, I would not sleep until that offending staff member is kicked out of the building or the management is taken to task. Is this turning out to be a nation of ninnies or what? You are paying for the salaries of these people. They are your servants, not your masters. Yes rules have to be followed. I fully agree with that. That does not mean the staff run rough shod over the home owners. After all rules are made by the home owners (at least when the HOA forms).
In the 1800 club , we all do enjoy a midnight dip in the pool. My friends at Quantum always complain how they get thrown out of the pool after sundown. It is what you make out it. I tell people in the 18, “If you respectfully and quitely swim at night, it should never be a problem for anyone”.
I never understand this pool timings of Sunrise to Sunset in most buildings. What the hell does it have to do with anything? Insurance? Liability? They are not paying for a lifegaurd to stay overtime or anything like that. In any case 90% of the people get home only by sunset after they finish their work.
My point is, if it is a good and reasonable rule, fine, but if it is an arbitrary unjustified rule, stand up to it, canvass against it and change it.
And so if Lazaro is showing his kids the gym at Marina Blue under his supervision and taking pictures, no jerk in the staff should ask the kids to leave. They or the management should be able to ill treat the home owners only at the expense of their jobs. How dare they!

Hi Lazaro,
Please make a formal complaint about that staff member with the management. If the building manager gives you an attitude, do not be afraid to tell him that when the HOA forms, You will actively work towards firing that management company and getting another firm. Most likely the situation might not come to such a pass as the managers are usually very diplomatic. If necessary talk to the management company directly, with the building managers supervisor. Also talk to the developer and give him hell for hiring a rude management company for starts.
Do not have to get desperate and tell people not to buy into a building. Change it for good.

I’ve been reading this blog for a while and now.My lease at the Beach club hallandale is up and I do not want to stay in this building for a another day .From the screaming pipes to broken elevators .I moved into this building when it opened and it’s decline has surprised me.
I am not familiar with Biscayne but I have narrowed my search down to 900 Biscayne and Marina Blue . I found my last apartment on the craigslist .However this time around the real estate agents are different and very dishonest they post one thing and then say another .How do I find a valid agent .Can anyone help me .
I also would like to know if any of these two have a lease to own option .
I am hoping to move by 09/12/2008

Hello, I live in Marina Blue and I love the view, the building and all the employees are very service oriented.
Is the first time I leave a comment but I need to do it.
I’m a little dissapointed that such a nice building has so poor sound proofing between one apartment to the other.
In my apartment I can listen to every step the people living in the floor above takes!
Is annoying having to wake up at 3am because of the steps of the lady above in her stilettos!
I reported this issue, and apparently I’m not the only one experiencing this problem, it happens when the apt above you has woodfloors.
According to management once an apt has the floors installed they need to approve it and if the records on the apt with wood floors shows that sound proof approval was done by them, there is nothing to do.
It is a shame, when you pay so much for an apt and having to live with that problem.
It really says a lot about the quality of construction on the developer; even when you are in the bedroom , you can listen to your neigbors when they are chatting in their bedroom.
Thank God I’m renting for now!!! I wanted to rent and if I like the place I was planning to buy, but after this experience it terrifies me to buy an apt in the price range offered and having to live with such a problem!!!

For all who want to come live at the marina blue,
I’ve been renting my apartment there since last september and i can’t wait to leave this piece o crap building.
The elevator are always out, when they work some workers or person of the cleaning staff block them.
The air conditionning is always out, right now, my AC is not working for 3 days and of course it’s my fault. they made some work on it 3 days ago and since them, nothing is working, but just for the appartments, the management and common parts have their AC. so they don’t care at all.
People from the security talk to you with no respect, if you forgot your keys, be ready to spend the night out because some of them don’t want to open to you if you have no key.
A friend of mine whose living in the same building wanted to enjoy the non heated pool with 4 friends of his, they made him deposit 500 dollars just in case. can you imagine having to pay to have some friends visiting you?!
the pool, the gym and all the stuff that could be fun close at 10pm. cool for a saturday night if you wanna enjoy the swimming pool.
The trash chute is out for a month now, nobody’s doing anything.
So i give you my advise, avoid this building, there’s so many buildings new around, you don’t need this one.

As a resident of Marina Blue, I must say it has the lowest quality construction I have ever seen. I can hear EVERY word/ sound that occurs in my neighbors unit. Throat clearing, and opening of creaky doors included. Oddly, we wake up at exactly the same time every morning. Why, you ask? Because I wake up to their alarm clock going off. I can also clearly and distinctly hear every word of their phone calls. Once, their phone rang and I went searching for mine, convinced it was ringing.
It is evident common walls are nothing more than drywall nailed to studs. Inexcusable. According to management, this is my problem, not theirs.
Also, I had to have an entire wall opened due to a shorted electrical circuit. This building is only a year old and the wiring is already bad.
Do yourself a favor, live somewhere else.
