iPhone Application Release Update

January 28th, 2010 · 10 Comments

Just wanted to give everyone an update regarding the iPhone application.  It was submitted to Apple about two and a half weeks ago.  Apple contacted me late last week stating that a few minor changes needed to be made.  Those changes were made and the app was resubmitted this past Monday.  We’re hoping that it will be approved within the next 2-3 weeks.

In preparation for the launch of the iPhone application I hired a graphic designer to create some marketing material.  Here’s a peek at the business card design.

    Cool, excited to see it.

As a graphics/web guy, I have to mention that I’m not a huge fan of that business card. The tight text on the front all runs together. I like the girl, but not the background for her. Also, the phone would look better if you have any all white screens on your app (for the mockup in the photo), the bottom half of your app makes the mockup look like a messy blackberry keyboard.

No intention to bash here, but totally agree with post # 1. It looks messy and ugly.
Lucas, please review the design. Do not launch such an amateurish work.

Realtor.com released a fantastic new free IPhone App last week. It instantly shows all the houses for sale in the area where you are using the phones gps. It shows inside and outside pictures of the houses with all the information including price and who to contact.

    Lucas,

Will this app show the listings along with the listing agents information on it?

How will you personally benefit from the app? Sounds like a great tool. Hopefully this will reduce the need to go on the mls.

Excited to see the final product!

Property taxes, special assessments, corrupt developers and condominium boards are enough for the average person to gain 200 pounds. The lady on your business car will look like Rosanne Barr after a year of ownership.

The app is now available on the iTunes store. That was faster than I expected. I’ll write a blog post about it later.
