I was pretty amazed by the amount of viewership and feedback received today concerning the various problems occurring at Neo Vertika. While I love receiving the emails, I would love for everyone to share their comments with each other in an open forum. Information is much better received when it is coming from multiple sources rather than one source interpreting the opinions of others. We all benefit from the voice you hold inside. Feel free to leave comments and provide your own unbiased opinions.

To all residents and future residents:
I am an owner in the building and would like to touch on a few issues mentioned in the postings on this site. First and for most, after long discussions with the property manager about insurance increases due to the floods, and AC issues in the building all these rumors are false. Insurance increases every year. The main reason for insurance increases in the Tri-county area (Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County) is we all live in a sub-tropical city that is prone to hurricanes. This is the reason for the legislation on Florida’s Capital Hill, mandated by Gov. Charlie Crist, for cuts in home owners insurance. The insurance the building has is for wind and structural damage caused by hurricanes and/or unforeseen acts by Mother Nature, again not for a sprinkler pipe bursting. Second, yes I am not going to sit here and say we have not had our fair share of sprinkler issues but the pipes that were used in Neo Vertika, CPVC, are the same pipes that are used in 95% of all high rises across the nation. In my opinion, I would say that in no way did the developer cut corners on a life safety system that is in place to save our lives in case of a fire. It is unfortunate that we have had to incur the stress and damage caused by the sprinkler rupturings on certain floors and now the entering of units by the GC for sprinkler retrofitting. Although, by changing the sprinkler pipes to steel I would imagine this will put an end to all our headaches with sprinkler pipe bursting and leaks and make it a positive and much safer place to live in the Brickell area!!!!
Wish everyone the best, keep your head up and keep smiling!!!!!!!!!
